During Adam Higton's talk, I admired how playful his work is. This is an aspect of my practice that I struggle with and although my work is very different to Adam's, I was able to think about how playing around with layouts could enhance the overall suggestion of 'fun', especially in children's books.

My favourite application of Adam's work was definitely on scarves. I like this design as it's not too obvious at first what it is. At closer inspection you realise its's a character that wraps around the entire thing. Here you can really see how the purpose has been utilised in the design.
